DiffStack is built on a foundation of privacy. The content you compare never leaves your device.
01. Text & Code You Compare
The comparison tool is fully client-side. We do not collect, store, or transmit any text or code you paste into the diff editors. All diffing operations occur locally in your browser's memory and are discarded when you close the tab.
02. Contact Form
If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is delivered to us by email via Mailjet, our email service provider, which processes it on our behalf. We do not sell this data, share it for marketing purposes, or add you to any mailing list. Please avoid including sensitive information in your message.
03. Analytics & Cookies
We use Google Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics to understand aggregate usage — such as which pages are visited, browser type, and approximate location — so we can improve the tool. Google Analytics may set cookies for this purpose; Ahrefs Analytics is cookieless. The content you compare is never part of this telemetry. Our hosting provider may also keep standard, short-lived access logs (such as IP address and user agent) for security and reliability.
04. Local Storage & Offline Cache
We use your browser's local storage to remember UI preferences (such as dark mode). A service worker may also cache pages and assets on your device so the site loads faster and works offline. This data stays on your device and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
